FLOORA

ABOUT

Blossoming. That is what her name signifies. Melodies flow richly with her passion for singing, songwriting, and storytelling.

At age 8, she started with violin classes. Two years later, she taught herself how to play piano and subsequently guitar. This self-taught curiosity defines her today: she does not follow the rules of a formal music education. Instead, she creates what satisfies her ears and warms her heart. Her early years were a balance of art and athletics. Scouted for high-performance teams in field hockey and gymnastics, she mastered the art of discipline early on. As she eventually traded the competitive field for the lecture hall, her academic achievements reflect this capacity for intense focus. While academia requires structure, her music reflects her need for freedom.

Having stepped out of the lecture hall, she has found a new rhythm in the flow of her own creativity. The only person she wants to compete with is herself. This is her musical journey. Despite her Dutch roots, she currently breathes the fresh Norwegian air. Follow her on this journey and listen to her latest collab below.

my poem.

life contradicts.

create vs. consume.

escaping either way.

slowed down swiftly.

like passion into dismay.

like birds in cages.

life contradicts.

or maybe not so much.

say vs. hear.

hear vs. say.

relative vs. absolute.

is there one truth.

reality is contingent.
